Resumes are used to create private matching signals, not sent to employers. Saved account constraints govern eligibility. Archived resumes stop participating in matching, and deleting a resume does not create another free test.
01 Scope
Services covered by this notice
This notice covers the Facultas website, public free resume test, authenticated member resume library, matching services, and related support. Partner platforms may provide their own notices for information they collect and send through the Facultas API.
02 Information collected
Only what the service needs to work
Account information. When you sign in with Google, Facultas receives a stable Google account identifier and may receive your email address, name, and profile image. Facultas does not receive your Google password.
Resume and profile information. Facultas receives files you upload, file metadata, labels and archetypes you choose, text and structured attributes extracted from the files, parsing status, and technical versions used to interpret them.
Matching settings and results. Facultas stores the eligibility, geography, job-type, compensation, timing, and sector settings you submit, along with match requests, selected-resume provenance, served-job history, scores, explanations, and returned results.
Service data. Facultas may process IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, request identifiers, error data, and security or rate-limit signals needed to operate and protect the service.
03 Use
Provide, protect, and improve matching
Facultas uses information to authenticate accounts, enforce access and the one-lifetime free-test entitlement, parse resumes, create retrieval and ranking signals, apply hard constraints, return and restore results, prevent duplicate or abusive use, troubleshoot errors, secure the service, respond to support requests, and comply with law.
The free test and member library do not send resumes to employers, submit applications, or make hiring decisions.
04 Constraints
Account settings remain authoritative
Visa needs, citizenship, work authorization, clearance, geography, paid-only status, compensation, job types, and other hard constraints come from settings you provide at the account or search level. Facultas does not silently replace those settings with statements inferred from a resume. Resume variants remain separate and contribute ranking signals only.
06 Retention and deletion
Active while useful, limited afterward
Active resume files, parsed representations, labels, and related matching data are retained while needed to provide your library and matching history. Archiving removes a resume from active selection and all-resume matching without treating another resume as a replacement or merge.
When you delete a resume, Facultas removes it from the active library and matching use and performs deletion according to its storage-safety procedures. Limited copies may remain temporarily in backups, security records, or legal records until their ordinary retention periods expire. Deletion may be delayed when preservation is required for security, fraud prevention, disputes, or law.
Deleting or archiving a resume does not reset the one-lifetime public free-test entitlement. Facultas may retain the minimum account, quota, request, and prior-result data needed to enforce that entitlement, prevent abuse, preserve audit integrity, and meet legal obligations. Contact Facultas for an account-level deletion request.
07 Security
Reasonable safeguards, shared responsibility
Facultas uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your Google account, sign out on shared devices, and do not upload Social Security numbers, financial records, health records, or other information unnecessary for matching.
08 Your choices
Review, correct, archive, or delete
You can rename resumes, change archetypes, set a default, update matching settings, archive or restore a resume, and delete a resume from the member library. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete account information by emailing [email protected]. Facultas may need to verify your identity and may retain limited data where permitted or required.
09 Changes
This notice may evolve with the service
Facultas may update this notice as the service, law, or data practices change. Material changes will be posted with a revised effective date and, when appropriate, additional notice.
